IBEW Local 18, Business Manager Brian D’Arcy releases this following statement:

It is with great sadness that the IBEW family mourns the loss of International President Emeritus Edwin D. Hill, who passed this past Saturday, December 1.

A great labor leader who was a second generation member and served as the IBEW’s International President from 2001 through 2015. He also was the International Secretary and Secretary-Treasurer from 1997 until 2001.

We will always remember with respect the leadership and vision of President Ed Hill that grew IBEW stronger during a time of great difficulty and challenge.

Our deepest and heartfelt condolences are with his family during this difficult time.
