Green Power...MAKE IT REAL
Members and staff turned out for the May 13 kickoff of LADWP’s “Green Power” campaign and challenged the Department to make it real.
“To be meaningful,” Local 18 Business Manager Brian D’Arcy told the crowd, “the development of green power must be accompanied by a reduction in the most environmentally damaging power sources. We challenge David Freeman and the DWP to divest its coal and nuclear holdings and bring the money and jobs back from Utah and Arizona.”
