DWP teams to compete in KC
Fifteen journeymen and 20 apprentice teams competed May 15 in the LADWP Lineman’s Rodeo. Teams represented Burbank Power & Light, Seattle City Light, Glendale, Imperial Valley and Southern California Edison, as
well
as the DWP. The top four journeymen teams and the top apprentice team, all
from the DWP, will travel to Kansas City in September to participate in
the IBEW International Lineman’s Rodeo. Members making the trip will include journeymen Ken Twomey, Jim Schultz, Terry Silva, Todd Alden, Scott Barnes, Ron Beech, Bill Herriott, Jay Puklavitz, Dick Brown, John Bacon, Ed Grime and Randy Bowen, and apprentices Glen Slattery and Troy Couch.
Linemen competed in such events as Hurt Man Rescue, Pole Climbing and Insulator Change Out.
